I think Kimi did not change tires in one of those stints. I need to go back and look at the Speed TV coverage. He came in went up on the stands and back down without a tire change, and was out.

Just watched his pitstop and nothing strange at all, he was still sitting for a second or 2 after the tyre change was completed while the refueling was still going on.

One thing that made it look slightly odd was that Kimi was right behind Alonso at the start of Alonsos inlap but Kimi had a bit of a slide at turn 2/3 and lost quite a bit of time then after the pitstop sequence he came out a fair bit ahead of Alonso. It was all done on the track though and nothing to do with any exceptionally quick pitstop.

I was wondering how he did it as well, visually it looked impossible.

Thanks for clearing that up spud.

Flav will probably accuse of Ferrari of removing the fuel filter from their rig, something Flav did himself back at Benetton in 1994 when the supposed removal of the fuel filter caused fuel to spill and set on fire.

I'll be blunt about this. Renault are s***! Ferrari is faster and once Kimi had Alonso out of his way for a couple of laps, Kimi was able to rip a few very fast laps and then get ahead on the pit stop. Simple. And if ALonso wants to come to Ferrari eventually, he had better stop accusing them of cheating when they clearly have not done so.

I think you're right here AKR. Ferrari was not cheating this time and i really dont think Domenicalli wants to win by cheating. So if Alonso wants to go there he should wise up. He's not the smartest cookie in the jar when it comes political interplay with teams.
