Sounds like Renault are just frustrated.

Reports in the Spanish press have raised suspicions about a pitstop involving the Ferrari of world champion Kimi Raikkonen during the Hungarian grand prix.

The reports, in the daily newspapers Diario AS and also the sports publication Marca, marvel at how the Finn managed to make such a quick stop to leapfrog Spain's Fernando Alonso, who had battled on track during the Hungaroring race.

'AS' said Renault is investigating how Raikkonen's refuelling was completed so quickly, given that the standard Intertechnique fuel rigs deliver petrol to the cars at a uniform rate.

"I don't know how they did it," Alonso is quoted as saying. "We will carefully study the data and see if they have something that allows them to fill up faster."

I'm no Ferrari fan but I think Flav and the boys should concentrate on making a slightly better car than stirring up muck with the Red squad (no matter how much fun it is :D ) Those that should be investigated are the ones who caught fire for goodness sake! All of a sudden, a rash of flaming refueling rigs, now THATS suspicious.

i hope not.
Ferrari aren't cheaters anyway

LOL I doubt Ferrari did anything wrong there, they may have over filled him at a previous stop, but i hate to burst your bubble but all the teams either have or are cheating in someway - its wether they caught that makes the differance

How did they do it? Duh! 8 tenths quicker on the in lap might have had something to do with it

im pretty certain that the FIA would have discovered something like that by now.
Even if Renault find something wrong, can they do anything about it?

I recall the moment well. Kimi was close to Alonso but then started loosing ground to him, can't remember the time gap exactly but it was sizable, then they pit, and Kimi gets clearly ahead. I remember being very surprised but then forgot all about it due to the other more dramatic things. There's no harm in investigating now is there, especially if Ferrari have nothing to hide.

I was not all that surprised Raikkonen passed Alonso, for Raikkonen's car was faster and his in lap was very good as well. What surprised me by just how much Raikkonen was ahead of Alonso when he came out of the pits. It raises an eyebrow, yes, but I think there is a valid explanation for what happened.

I couldnt understand how Kimi got past Alonso after he went sideways but it just shows in clear air Kimi could show his true pace and leap frog Fernando

ok i just looked up the data

Alonso Pitted on Lap 50 his inlap was 1:24.326 with pit time of 26.5
His outlap was 1:47.032

Raikkonen pitted on Lap 51 his inlap was 1:23.551 with pit time of 24.6
His outlap was 1:43.921

Kimi had a better inlap and the Ferrari stop was 2 seconds quicker this enabled them to leap frog. Nothing in it Renault

obviously they are questioning the 2 second difference during the pit stop, but you have to realise Kimi pitted 1 lap later so only had to fill up with one lap less worth of fuel to make it to the checkered compared to Alonso so there is less stationary time spent right there!

Maybe this explanation should be emailed to Flavio or Renault F1 so they will stop their whinning? :)

Briatore will never stop whinging. He is the biggest gurn in Formula 1. Last week, he was bitching about teams developing their engine slightly, when the rules specify several areas which can be worked on to enhance a powerplant's horsepower and now he is gurning about Raikkonen jumping them in the pits without foundation. All of this coming from the guy who runs a team that was involved in spying last season and used illegal launch control, traction control and fuel rigs in 1994! A hypocrite of the highest order. :director:

I didn't realize Alonso's out lap was so slow, suddenly it doesn't seem so strange. Where do you get those race stats bud?
