IF any team was to be inspected McLaren would be the logical choice because of this big leap forward. Everyone is shocked at the performance gap so suddenly, so naturally it raises questions. All valid because of the engine freeze rule.
why wasnt there an IF to be an inspection after Ferrari won 3 in a row?
It could very well be another case of MM and the FIA having a go at McLaren I dont know but I am also alittle suspicious.

Thankfully, one of the tifosi sees sense. I actually agree with Mike that if an inspection was to be carried out on an engine, McLaren's would be the one which you check first. But that is not the point. The point is that the this inspection is meant to be completely at random, but conveniently, when McLaren improve a little bit, their car is the first one to be inspected, and, not only that, it's Hamilton's McLaren. I don't believe they will find anything wrong with the engine anyway. Most of McLaren's improvements have come a lot of new aerodynamic pieces and, I suspect, some tweaking with the rear suspension to improve the car's once poor traction.

That make's sense to me also.

Possibly because those three race's were not won by the same driver or in such a dominating fashion? It could very well be another case of MM and the FIA having a go at McLaren I dont know but I am also alittle suspicious.

yes random ultimately means you pull a name out of a hat, what Mike is saying is they should pick the current pace setter.
By picking the current pace setter means youre choosing by selection which is not random at all. that goes against the FIA's comment that this is a random inspection
but conveniently, when McLaren improve a little bit
but conveniently, when McLaren improve a little bit
2 to 3 seconds per lap above everybody else's race pace is not "a little bit"...
... but you're right, it's not random.
We are, however, talking about a team that had all of it's points stripped from it for breaking the law last year... I think the same management was involved at that time.

I wishI was referring to Ron Dennis.
