Vettel & Sutil certainly are talented drivers, but they don't get the media attention that LH does. Why not? because in his rookie year LH had fantastic achievements and nearly won the DWC, and he outdrove the reigning world champ in the same car. So expectations by media etc are high, and they love to knock someone when it does not go so well. If Sutil or Vettel received the same amount of media coverage as LH then I think that they would also get negative comment on this forum. Its the 'green eyed ' monster syndrome. Any driver with media coverage gets grief on forums like this, look at Alonso and MS in his day.
Yes it is true that LH did well in his rookie year because he drove a McLaren (quicker than Alonso did much of the time) but he got into McL. by his own efforts, it wasn't some magic gift that fell from the sky. When he was a boy driving Go Karts he made himself known to RD and told him that he wanted to drive McL one day, he then kept himself in RDs view by regular contact and by winning a lot in whatever he drove, until RD sponsored him. He worked for that, he deserves it, and it is a part of why he is a winner. Much of MS's success was because of what he did off track.
As far as 'professional achievements' Lewis has not achieved anymore than let's say Vettel or Sutil etc etc in a sense right? Now if your talking about 'on track' achievement's I would agree but that is only due to him entering F1 with a top team. Lewis is a very very naturally talented driver but so are alot of other's who have not had the equipment to prove it.
Lewis is awesome but he would not be where he is today without McLaren.
