The problem is that mileage/points does not mean they are a good enough for F1, I know we pick on Maldonado a lot, but his track record has been piss poor, if it weren't for his Venezuelan oil sponsorship. he would be out on his ear before now. Although it does please me that he moved from Williams to Lotus as Williams became a contender.

I think applying this rule in retrospect will always highlight the exceptions to the rule.

Yes that pleases me immensely too. Particularly because of his arrogant comments when chosing where he would drive.
