After the agony of defeat, success will be sweet!
What if Lady Luck had been smiling on Rosberg?
Would she have been banned from future races?

Erm what if Hamilton had suffered the mechanical fault yesterday and Rosberg had won the race.

Newly-crowned Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton cannot be considered a great yet, but he is on the right path, according to Sir Jackie Stewart.
Hamilton joins Stewart, Jim Clark and Graham Hill as the only British drivers to have won two or more titles.
Stewart, 75, told BBC Sport: "Lewis can become one of the great drivers.
"But you can't judge that based purely on this year's performance because of Mercedes's superiority throughout the whole season."
In a wide-ranging interview with BBC Sport, Stewart suggests:
Mercedes's domination in the sport has made F1 "boring"
Mercedes will have greater competition in the 2015 season
He added: "There's a lot still to be done to achieve the greatness that I think everyone has perhaps placed on him prematurely.
"To become a great, Lewis has to continue to win," added three-time champion Stewart. "He must choose the best teams to drive for and keep his head focused on being a professional.
oh Stewart's is out. Just a one liner on the BBC site somewhere. Nico was as good as Lewis.

And that is probably the obvious truth that Merc will be struggling with (if someone like Jackie can see it I am sure that they figured it out long ago!), why pay so much for a #1 driver when their car can be driven to titles by any of a group of drivers that demand much less salary.
If I were Hamilton I would be hoping that the freeze is done away with such that Merc can justify having such a highly paid driver on staff.

If this continues Merc are going to start scratching their heads as to why they recruited Hamilton and are paying him so much more than Rosberg.
You think a team dominating the way Merc is scratches their heads? Definetely not the marketing guys especially since Lewis is the biggest attraction in the grid. Neither his boss Toto who claims Lewis is faster or the chairman of Daimler who have known and backed Lewis instead of Nico for over a decade
It could even be the fact a Lewis beat Nico last year
Nah, only haters are scratching their chinless heads
Is Lewis winning the Lewis V Nico marketing battle?

It's a bit sad when the tifosi can't even bash other teams or drivers with properly thought out put downs. It's all half hearted nowadays, a bit like the team itself, or a bit like Kimi
'Lets just throw something in and hope for the best, if it's factually incorrect we can always claim to have a mea culpa, or to have limited knowledge or even to be too new to F1 to understand it'

Interesting article with Hamilton the top rated sportsman in the world. I wonder though if things would be different now as the timing of that was when Hamilton was on a high leading the wdc and with four straight wins and poles just before Monaco. It's been a Rosberg show since then.
Hamilton certainly personally benefits from such a high rating, I also wonder if Merc benefits from Hamilton's brand in the actual selling of their cars verses a Rosberg led team? I am sure that Merc have their own studies and are crunching the numbers as things progress. Lots of racing still to come .for Hamilton to turn his fortunes around.

OB, its one thing stating your opinion about a particular topic, and its one thing getting a response that provides you with the actual facts to help you think more deeply about it.
But its rather bad form to start again with exactly the same discredited stuff, perhaps you forget in your haste to post the latest thought to pop into your head, but to some it could appear that you are not interested in the facts and only in (feebly) finding negatives about the World Champion
I know its probably just that you cant remember as far back as Summer - happily we have the search function to help you become more honestIf this continues Merc are going to start scratching their heads as to why they recruited Hamilton and are paying him so much more than Rosberg.
