The difference is, Hamilton has competition from his team mate And thrilling it's been all season too, if a little bad for the blood pressure at times.
That is very different from previous years of domination where one driver with the most dominant car STILL needs his team mate shackled from the start of the season. Or a driver clearly no where near the level of the team mate due to the car being designed round a specific skill.
We have racing this season up and down the grid, that alone separates it from the 'go slow, don't let your tyres explode or fall of a cliff' of previous years.
This has been a great season for many reasons, though I can see how disappointing it's been for some fans.
And today we have the continuation of the intra team battle at Merc. We have Bottas firmly in he mix. We have Kvyat showing what he's made of and the prospect of Mags and Massa coming. We have What can the Ferrari's do to get third place. Lots of good stuff going on!
