I'd definately say it's a joke, you've got to have a laugh now and again. Ron is merely demonstrating paddock banter or humour that you don't see much of now days, sort of similar to Wurz saying to ITV's Ted Kravitz last year that he thought Heidfeld should shave his beard.

How about your boss going to your local TV station and singling you out for having a limp or something and making fun of you?
