But Renault have a much bigger excuse in that they are not even in F1 as a competitor, only as a supplier of engines. Also they wanted 4 pots and Ferrari got an extra year and the 6 pots. Renault can ofcourse change their whole engine but would it make economic sense? I think thats what I am reading from Renault, they have/had the capacity to do anything, just need a 'reason' . Ferrari will need to dig deep to produce a better engine than Renault in 2015
