Power units with turbine and compressor at opposing ends of the ICE is next inovative idea to be banned.

That would please Renault :hehe:

I'm going to tweet Charlie suggesting the winglet at the back of F1 helmets is a movable aero device.

Maybe that's just part of the Red Bull motto: We give you wings!

If the FIA isn't sure that FRIC is legal, how will they know if teams are actually running with it, or not?
Are all cars going to be checked for it? Or is the FIA doing a "spot check" on some cars and not others?

What are the chances that a team decides to use FRIC, and hope their car isn't tested for it??

Its a massive frickin risk for a team to do that. Anyway I think no team is running it this weekend....it seems they probably lose about a quarter of a second maximum, and that is probably for the team with the best system. A team which never ran fric (Force India) has been pulling its own against teams with advanced systems such as McLaren.

Oh, I get that! I realize it would be like winning the lottery, if anyone chose to use it,
in the hopes that they wouldn't get "caught"!

BUT, that's my question. Considering they weren't sure if it was even legal, does the
FIA even know what it is? If they have to depend on the teams "blowing the whistle"
on each other, how will they know whose car to check? Will they check all the cars on
the grid? Or just some? Which ones will they check? Will it be a spot check?

I know, I know, that's more than one question; but, it's all about "how" the FIA works!

Force India have been running with and without fric.
