What a race! Silverstone delivered! Not your typical race weekend was it!
Quali was interesting to say the least. Ferrari, Williams & Lewis being caught on the hop. But the race was on another level again.
Firstly, I panicked big time when I saw Kimi's crash, and how long he remained in the car. That was truly awful to watch, but I feel credit is due to Silverstone for getting the barrier repaired so quickly.
The restart was anticlimactic behind the SC. I'd have rather seen them do a standing start in positional order (as they may have done had that occurred in 2015). That aside, unlucky Nico on the gearbox. However, the luck was going to swing Lewis' way sooner or later. Bottas is really doing himself a good job, and that hasn't come a day too soon. I was pleased for Ricciardo, such a decent guy. I loved Vettel's moaning on the team radio. His battle with Alonso was brilliant, and they both did well to keep it on the track.
I was bitterly disappointed JB didn't make it to the podium today. I'd have liked that for him and Papa Smurf, but wasn't to be.
Drive of the day, Bottas I think.
Lets hope Kimi is in good shape for Germany! It should be a belter!

Looking forward for the Spanish Grand Prix in May... For my second live Grand Prix experience.
