What a race! Silverstone delivered! Not your typical race weekend was it!
Quali was interesting to say the least. Ferrari, Williams & Lewis being caught on the hop. But the race was on another level again.
Firstly, I panicked big time when I saw Kimi's crash, and how long he remained in the car. That was truly awful to watch, but I feel credit is due to Silverstone for getting the barrier repaired so quickly.
The restart was anticlimactic behind the SC. I'd have rather seen them do a standing start in positional order (as they may have done had that occurred in 2015). That aside, unlucky Nico on the gearbox. However, the luck was going to swing Lewis' way sooner or later. Bottas is really doing himself a good job, and that hasn't come a day too soon. I was pleased for Ricciardo, such a decent guy. I loved Vettel's moaning on the team radio. His battle with Alonso was brilliant, and they both did well to keep it on the track.
I was bitterly disappointed JB didn't make it to the podium today. I'd have liked that for him and Papa Smurf, but wasn't to be.
Drive of the day, Bottas I think.
Lets hope Kimi is in good shape for Germany! It should be a belter!

Some dude next to her might've got a huge SMOOCH today.

I wish I attended the Silverstone GP.

Based on that dress and checkered flag leggings she was wearing in that pic, I'd root for hamilton if she let me have a go :P

That's not even the alcohol talking. I have a thing for teachers. Last one I tapped taught special ed :rofl::rofl:

:drink::drink::drink::drink::drink:

I think we all agree... with and without alcohol ;)

True! What I was meaning was they didn't run into each other and take each other off!

Man, we were robbed by Nico dnfing, Lewis was gonna spank him silly on track

Had the gearbox on Nico's car not packed in, it would've been a spectacle. It was a great race in the end, but it could've been just that little bit better!

Ah well, we can't have everything.

It would've been wonderful, and I think he may well have got there had there been an extra lap or two!

Wow....great race. Think I got on TV...but the race was truly epic. Fans cheered like crazy when Nico retired and invading the track was hell lol best Silverstone ever

P.S, Lemon, it was amazing. Told him about you and you're getting a restraining order :P met Claire williams too. Nicest team member in F1

I'm home now! Showered, nice glass of red wine and about to watch recording of the GP. OH boy!!what a weekend!! Delighted for Lewis , he was way faster than Nico all weekend, so that was a well deserved win. It would have been nice to see Lewis overtake him on the track, but I'll take the 25 / nil points over the little extra excitement, it goes some way to even up the other two DNf's . Lewis should have dawdled a bit more over the line for that last lap in quali , that would have been a fitting pay back for Monacco. But it matters little now :cloud9::cloud9::cloud9:

A few other points of note. I loved the battle between Alonso and Vettel, credit to them both, a great fight. Delighted for Williams and pleased Jenson had a good race.
I think I was on tele. Someone said had my flags gone weird( they had, I'd not fastened them strongly enough and they'd scrunched up) was I at the top of the stand with a black Lewis cap on. YES! That was me! But the person saw me on SKy, in the gap after the crash. I'm watching if now on BBC. So did anyone else see me on tele?

Will you be sitting through the hour-long delay, or winding through it? :hehe:

I think I might wind through some of it :D it's on now. Want to see if I can see me though.

God, all that whining on the radio is irritating! Full of self-entitlement. I often wonder when he watches the races back what he thinks of himself at moments like that.

Alonso and Vettel both annoyed me with the "he went off the track" every 2 second
