Luca looked pretty foolish in Bahrain trying to convince everyone what a catastrophic racing season the new specs had given us.

Except to his tifosi army most of whom really are still convinced that the 2 sec speed differential makes all the difference to enjoying the racing, and that the new noise has destroyed the passion, and that having 2 equal drivers battling in the best car is worse than the previous Seb-RBR and MS-Ferrari streaks

and now we have Coulthard saying the drivers also hate 2014 cars but are too shy to say so

"They are not happy. The marketers love it because it gives them a reason to put their investment into F1, and I completely understand that, but the drivers are not enjoying driving the cars this year."

"Nico [Rosberg] and Lewis [Hamilton] are probably a bit happier as they have a better package, but even if you speak to them privately they say the driving experience is not as pure as it was.

Maybe he means 'pure' driving is having a blown rear diffuser, or maybe he is on someones payroll, but at least unlike the tifosi hed be getting paid :yikes:

(this is the same Coulthard who actually came out and called for each team to have an extra pitbox, he decided to share this gem of wisdom at the tightest track Monaco when teams were discussing reducing costs) I wonder if Red Bull allows him to lobby and do his PR for other companies

I like DC, but sometimes he just talks sh*t lol...but he is indeed on RBs payroll. So pure racing and pure sport counts well when his employer does well I guess. Like you said, he's a blind believer....who gets paid. :hehe:

It would be fantastic racing and the engines sounding better than ever had Red Bull continued on their 2013 trajectory. I guess the best driver feedback ever came from Vettel as he was doing donuts. "Enjoy it while it lasts boys"

too true Hamms

at least DCs employers get some spin for their money. I always knew Domenicallys time at Ferrari was limited when he came out and said his employers were at a disadvantage in a new engine formula :yikes:

Anyone seeing Toto Wolff's threat of team orders as an issue going into Canada? (If you haven't caught up, he's saying he will introduce team orders if there is a clash on track by his drivers. In other words, "keep it clean or else!")

Such fun...

There will definitely be issues!
And, they will all be presented in a most subjective manner! :D

Lewis may have an answer to that...just run off into the distance like a scalded cat so Nico is nowhere near him. Canada would be the first place to do it and set the tone for the subsequent races. 8-)

I hope not, we had enough of that from Vettel last season! :hehe:

Probably. We'll have to wait and see! :D

Edit: I just realized that you proved my point! :wavey:

The difference being that this would be the first time for Hamilton and his fans!

I had a dream the other night that Vettel's engine blows up at this race and that it finished Hamilton, Rosberg, Ricciardo.

I'd almost submit my picks for the pool now, but then I'm pretty sure I was driving in the race in my dream - I've decided not to put my picks in, just in case Ferrari call me up....

Or is it just Ferrari's woes that is compounding the need to bring down this season?

I'm still not convinced the 2014 changes are an improvement and Ferrari winning wouldn't change that opinion.

We know this because Montezemolo told us this

It's my opinion, not influenced by Luca.

Luca looked pretty foolish in Bahrain

Luca and the team were most embarrassed by the car they turned out at Bahrain.

Hopefully with SD and his "fear of failure" mentality gone, and guys like JA and MM in charge we can see steady progress.

Azza, funny you say that. I had a dream that Nico didn't get a good leap off the line and got into a bit of a bashing with cars breaking late from behind as they went into that turn 1 left hander/turn 2 right hander section. He lost some pieces and the car wasn't perfect after that. He finished third. Surprisingly, Alonso finished second. Lets see who has better dreams...or to be more precise, accurate dreams.
