A beautifully flowing track with several high speed sectors. A well balanced car will dominate the proceedings with a few drivers being very handy around there. Definitely a horsepower track too so I expect Mercedes to stretch their legs well there. I think the bookies will find this a very one-sided set of odds. Your thoughts?

Lewis should regain the championship lead.... barring unusual incidents.

Yes, Lewis is very special around there. Seeing what he has done there (win) in bad or average cars in the past, having a great car around Circuit Gilles Villeneuve should be fun to watch. Just analyzing strengths, I have a feeling Ricci will find a bit extra in Canada. This is where Red Bull may break up the Mercedes AMG 1-2 streak.

No way too much of a power track with massive acceleration points. This is an easy Merc 1-2, easier even than Bahrain.

With really good area, I think they could have enough of that in hand to strip away some wing to get better straight-line speed…an area that has so far been lacking on Newey's current design. As much as I would love another Mercedes AMG 1-2, I'm not brave enough to count out Red Bull being more competitive, especially in the hands of Dan. Needless to say, I'm becoming a fan…I rate him pretty high these days. :)

Agreed with Dan, but too much wing off there means making sweet sweet love to the "Wall of Champions". I said after Melbourne, this yeas is more driver less car, and the drivers are clearly showing their worth.

Oddly enough, with all the changes in regulations, I think it's "more car, less driver" with the team's success being the deciding factor!

Canada is still a street circuit, nothing like Monaco of course, So there are 1 or 2 escape roads to park into during Quali, I know theres one at turn 3.
just sayin :hehe:

Usually, this is a tremendous race. (Last year's was an odd exception).

Hoping for another weekend of searing temperatures at Merc, and a decent dice between the two of them.

Ahem... isn't this where he rammed Kimi from behind, whilst Kimi was waiting for a green light??
p.s. Rosberg ran into Hamilton, after that!! It would be hilarious if history repeats itself!!

Yes that year, not a bad performance as a rookie to beat "the two time WDC Fernando Alonso" I'd say. I think history repeating itself is the only hope the Tifosi have left in order for any type of results. A bit sad, but Ferrari will bounce back.

I do love Canada. Iconic track, fast track, flowing track and picturesque. Looking forward to it already.

Similar style of circuit to Bahrain - ergo Merc power dominance again. Hammo is historically excellent here so i expect he'll dominate. Maybe we'll see FI and Williams amongst the RB's and Ferrari's again (i think especially Ferrari will struggle here), which would create some intrigue through the top 10.

I agree, Scotty, though Williams seem to have flattered early but of late, they seem to be nowhere. Botas has shown signs of coming on song and Massa is, well, Massa…up, down, all over the place…consistency not being his middle name. As for Force India, I have some hope. Nico and Perez both owe us a really good race and the car appears good on all types of tracks. I still don't really know what if anything to expect of McLaren. Anyway, a great race is on the cards for sure.
