It may well be his home. It's Lewis' home too and lots of other drivers, but when Rosberg wins it's the German national anthem that plays not Hymne Monégasque

It's more his home than any other driver's as he grew up in Monte Carlo and went to school there and everything...

Hopefully the rain holds off for race day. A group of us are planning to head down. The weather network is currently forecasting showers for both Fri and Sat but 17C and sunny for Sunday.

DOWN to Montreal? WTF kind of latitude do you live in and do you have to look out for polar bears while running out to get your mail?

You're right, WB, Montreal (on a map) is further North than Toronto and Orangeville; however,
when referring to anything in Quebec and further East, we tend to say "down..."! Maybe it's a
throw back to Pioneer days when people landed on the East coast and were said to be travelling
to "up" the St. Lawrence River to "Upper Canada" (a.k.a. Southern Ontario).

With all this Mercedes focus on the Lewis Nico relationship is it possible that they could be giving the opposition a free pass to catch up?

Luca can only hope springs eternal. I fear Montreal will be a circuit where they'll be two cars on the lead lap.

Given the advantage Mercedes has logic says you are right. It would take some stunning improvements from another team PLUS some major blundering by Mercedes for them to give up the lead they have. It is the sort of lead that should yield multiple years of dominance really.

Theory and practice are two different things. In recent years we've seen teams snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory. Both Ferrari and Mclaren are touting huge upgrades for Canada and Renault is not sitting idle with their PU, so if there's no progress by the other teams into the Mercedes lead I believe at least a couple of teams will switch gears into 2015 and use the remainder of this year to work on reliability and proof of concept as much as they can.

Teams may well bring upgrades to Canada, but so will Mercedes :)
