Didn't Ron inject himself in the Lewis contract negotiations early on?

The thing is that Ron was removed from executive board membership at the height of his barney with the Bharainis when it looked like the MP4-12c coupe was a sales flop (later saved by the spyder and ofcourse the P1) And the lame TP at that point could easily have gone raised some leveraged debt and, with the goodwill of the Bharaini majority owners muscled into some voting shares and install himeself permanently (ofcourse he didnt have the gumption) and Ron would have had zero power over the actions the chief exec made. All he would have been was an 'advisor' non exec founder to be wheeled out for some PR talk, basically a tiger without claws, so he would have had no choice but to act in the boards best interests as he couldnt afford to piss them off further into thinking he had become a potential 'bad leaver'
So all he could do was play hardball with Lewis to save money etc etc - he was in absolutely no position to do what he wanted, only to keep the Bharainis and their advisors onside which he obviously did because once Lewis left and the team collapsed and his once best pal and now enemy Mansour went to hospital he was back in and the lame TP had run out of time, sponsors and support
And then there were suggestions that it was the Bharainis who decided to underwrite the increased payment to Lewis to get him to stay once he decided to leave with Ron bad flying out somewhere to badmouth him with Merc - so who knows what went on exactly, but for sure Lewis leaving was a massive catalyst and ultimately finished off the lame TP and maybe helped Ron back in even
To cut a long story short, Ron did what Ron does, played hardball and was probably the icing on the cake for Lewis to leave = but he had no choice and I am sure in time Lewis will know this, although Rons history of relationship breakups with his former protegees makes it a 50/50
I am sure Lewis will come back in time
