Couldn't agree with you more here, Alonso was a sulk off track. And the way Alonso told is "sob story" was also not very impressive. HOWEVER, the treatment that RD gave LH was disgusting and their behaviour far less impressive than FA. In one race last year RD said that "we were racing Alonso". FA was suppose to be your driver, not your enemy.
I agree that Ron Dennis should not have said that, but by that stage Alonso basically was McLaren's enemy: he tried to blackmail Dennis, annoy the team's management by growing a beard, untrue remarks in the media, was almost certainly leaving McLaren at the end of the season, was up to his neck in the spy scandal, tried to bribe the team's staff with a measly £700 each, etc. I'm not saying that Ron Dennis was completely innocent, nor Hamilton, both had a part to play, but Alonso's behaviour was pathetic, based to a large extent on the fact he was being matched (and maybe bettered) by a rookie.
Your theory of McLaren wanting Alonso not to win the title is incorrect. Alonso was given the priority strategy to win the Monaco Grand Prix (remember Hamilton's sob story after that?), was allowed to win his home Grand Prix (although this didn't work out, but he was given priority for that Grand Prix nonetheless), and he was allowed to finish the season with McLaren after all that happened, when he was really lucky he was not fired (Mercedes wanted him sacked).
