We considered Amelia as well. However what put me off was when I was a kid Amelia Earhart (http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amelia_Earhart" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) was always a cool explorer, then when I tried explaining it to SWMBO and reading up on her as an adult, she just seemed a fraud.

Did you name her BGP001 so she's instantly a winner?

Congratulations LRW!

My grandma was Amelia. :) , Millie for short. Both really popular names for girls today, lovely names!! But I still llike Mercedes. Why such a down on Mercedes? Just because chav's jump on it, the name remains a great name. Sadie for short, or Merc, or Sade.

It's a very chavvy name, and almost certainly is a ticket to mocking at school.

I appreciate it when there's nothing there to burn - fire safety and excitement all in one.
