Amelia sounds.....pretty.

That's exactly what I thought.

We considered Amelia as well. However what put me off was when I was a kid Amelia Earhart (http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amelia_Earhart) was always a cool explorer, then when I tried explaining it to SWMBO and reading up on her as an adult, she just seemed a fraud.

My grandma was Amelia. , Millie for short. Both really popular names for girls today, lovely names!! But I still llike Mercedes. Why such a down on Mercedes? Just because chav's jump on it, the name remains a great name. Sadie for short, or Merc, or Sade.
