My work give me a day off? HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!! That's a good one, Sagi!
No really, they don't give two sh1ts. I worked til 1:30am christmas eve and new year's eve. That's why I'm starting my own company, so I never have to work a holiday again.

It is said that you WILL work around the clock every damn day (hol or not) for the first 2 years of your own company in order to stay afloat.

Totally agree, as I have family/friends who have done that.
The "difference" being that they felt they were marching to
their own drum and not that of a taskmaster.

Agreed. I don't have a problem working the holidays if I'm building my own dream and not somebody else's

For a lot of people, that makes all the difference in the world.

I have to say, I really hate it when people look at a business and
say "Wow! What a gold mine!"!! My response is always "Would
you put in the hours, the collaterol, the energy to make this work?"
Invariably, there is silence in response...

[Jabberwocky]

The biggest thing I have found since being self employed is getting the energy back after getting set backs.

Is that because there is so much riding on it?

[Jabberwocky]

Well you put so much time and effort into something and it goes of like a wet squib, you need to pick yourself up and move on.
Plus all the cash and resources are your own.

Hi lose hi reward I suppose
