Mercedes has announced that Nico Rosberg will drive its car at all three days of the Pirelli test in Bahrain this week.
The test is set to get underway on Tuesday with Ferrari, Mercedes, Red Bull and Toro Rosso on track to put Pirelli's 2014 tyres through their paces. The teams will be allowed to bring 2013-spec cars but the run plans will be dictated by Pirelli as they gather data for next season.
"Busy week ahead for the team both here in Brackley and out in Bahrain," Mercedes tweeted. "We will have @nico_rosberg driving all three days of the Pirelli test in Bahrain this week."
Ferrari has announced Pedro de la Rosa and Marussia's Jules Bianchi as its drivers over the three day test, while Red Bull is planning to use test driver Sebastien Buemi and Toro Rosso intends to run Jean-Eric Vergne and new signing Daniel Kvyat. All the teams were invited to the test but only four decided to take up the opportunity.

Interesting. All teams invited, only four RSVP'ed. Are these four simply the most 'generous' in terms of wasting time and resources for Pirelli's benefit....or do they think they'd get an advantage? Clearly the rest (ones with money) don't think so.
Note that if they DO get some kind of benefit, Redbull again gets double input...thanks to free behind the scenes file sharing between mother and daughter team.
Breaking News:Lewis Hamilton has officially overtaken The Fonz in race wins. With 88 races less. Lol(Without a specially built blown diffuser, illegal front wing, preferential treatment)
