One reason why the Aussie GP is endangered:

Australian F1 audience
Channel 10, the Australian television station which airs each Grand Prix, revealed that the 2008 edition reached 11th position in the ratings for that week – behind a culinary show. 1.2 million viewers watched the very eventful race, including 627 000 in the State of Victoria where the Grand Prix was held. Only 199 000 watched from New South Wales, which includes Sydney, the country's largest city.

Behind a culinary show  Pathetic!
Knowing that the GP is in danger, the 'Best motorsports fans in the world' did not show much support!

Of course these numbers won't go unnoticed by BE

I remember Phoenix got pulled from the Calendar after more people turned up at some nearby Ostritch fair than the 1991 race itself.

Speaking of female members, we haven't seen Laura or pit_babe around for ages either.

A pretty pathetic set of figures to be honest. Ecclestone will certainly have taken note.
