The army is different because soldiers sign away certain freedoms when they join. Thats why the only ones who write books etc do so after leaving, and after making sure they are not reservists or still under recall power of the armed forces.
same as the security services who sign official secrets act, effectively signing away the right other citizens have of free speech. Even the head of M15 was free to write a book AFTER leaving.
Ferrari is not allowed to remove the rights of the citizen under Eu employment law. Therefore its on shaky ground, just like scientology or other organisations trying to enforce secrecy by coersion and under hand tactics.
How can you stop an employee telling people how he feels about himself in the context of his employment. Maybe Montezemolo thinks Mussolinini is still running the country
I would hope the only reason they don't write books while they're in the military is because they are
busy doing their jobs and don't have time to write volumes?
I would imagine that Ferrari/employers have certain "rights" even under the EU business law, no?
I'm sure that di Montezemolo would have been informed before imposing that sort of expectation!
Just a quick question, why is it that you have F1 drivers "forced" to do commercials/advertising/publicity
appearances? Is that not taking away their rights? Don't some of those "jobs" make them look like fools?
