According to an interview http://www.formula1.com/news/interviews ... /7148.html Ross Brawn says that he is happy with Jenson AND Rubens as drivers in the Honda team. Rubens still has a 12 month contract to run. He sees the problems as elsewhere - not with the drivers.
So where does that leave FA?
RB also acknowledges (I think - reading between the lines) that Honda does have the traditional hierarchical set up that may be part of the problem.
Quote - ' I have some experience in working with Bridgestone. It was a very nice partnership between Bridgestone and Ferrari. Of course the culture is different. It's not better or worse, it's just different. You have to understand the culture, you have to understand the objectives of Honda and its executives, and you have to work with that and marry the two cultures. I don't see it as a major problem. In many ways I see it as being positive for what we want to achieve. I as an Englishman went to Italy and worked with an Italian culture which was different to what I was used to. You have to understand what the strength of your culture is and what the strength of their culture could be and bring the two together and make the best out of it. Honda is a large organization and you have to understand how to marry the needs of Formula One to the needs of that large organization.'
Anyway he has had a good year off and seems to be ready for the challenge. It is still not clear to me though , how much RB will be able to operate unhindered from above.

Strive to be fast, strive to be first but, above all, strive to be alive.
