What's 'on the dole'? Pardon me, I'm a yank :hehe:

I'd happily deliver alcohol to drunks late at night. It'd be better than my job now. Cuz I could sit down! And I'd be sitting down on a bike, no less! :D

I could join the military as an officer with my degree. However, I'm quite out of shape. I used to run and exercise and sh1t before I had this job, but it has literally sucked the life force out of me. Also, I really have no desire to join the military because I don't want another four+ year commitment like college and I don't want to leave the valley. 'The valley' is what us locals call Phoenix.

Dole is money from the goverment for the unemployed to live on. It is something like 55 pound a week. However you get a lot of other benifits as I said housing, tax credits etc

:yes: it's why we're bankrupt. We 're stupid.

Let's put thing into perspective shall we? You're broke because you're giving money to people (in a time of need) hopefully, that have spent years putting money into the system.

We on the other hand are broke because our previous president and his corporate sponsors created a fictitious war so we could spend four trillion dollars and have achieved absolutely nothing.

I'd rather have it your way.

Ish. We give too much money into people who've never put anything into the system. There are entire families where no one has worked in any generation since the 70s yet they have a 5 bed detached house with sky, several cars and several holidays abroad each year. Then the rather bizarre way we let anyone in the European union to come in and just start claiming these benefits and never do any work.

Geet...learn how to master a few western dishes, then come over to Asia and open up a food stall... it's guaranteed business. People here live to eat. Shops are open here 24/7 and my timeline is always filled with pics of food and names/locations of shops. :hehe:

I find it pathetic (taking pics of food)...but that's just me. I'm a freak in my own country.

I don't think that phenomenon is restricted to your own country. I think its a worldwide thing.... :wink:

I'd totally expect YOU to jump on it first. :hehe:

These cases are extremely rare (like 1 in 100,000 cases), and absolutely not the norm, regardless what the Daily Mail would have us all believe; and;

This is not correct. We let people from the European Union or European Economic Area come in to the UK, in the same way that we are allowed to go to any of their countries - people often forget that part, but the only benefits they are entitled to are non-contributory ones that everyone in the UK is entitled to. They are not entitled to any form of contribury benefits (ones that are paid to people who have paid tax and NI in the UK previously). People from other EU States are entitled to substantially less than UK citizens.

Plus, the EU isn't the free for all that many would have you believe, your access and settlement rights are actually based on your being either a worker with a contract of employment, which allows you to reside, or a work seeker which gives you limited rights to stay, but if you don't find work in a reasonable time period, then you can stil be deported. Permanent residence rights are only granted after five years of work.

I honestly don't like it when myths and inaccuracies in this regard are repeated, because it continues the trend of popular EU bashing, which is almost all of the time wrong.
