I will preface this thread as saying that I grew up as a child having espresso couple of times a day whenever my parents made some. I love coffee but will only drink it if it's either French press (raw sugar and half & half) or some type of espresso variant from my coffee shop, macchiato or breve macchiato. I don't OD on it, mostly just get my "fix" twice a day. I have a burr grinder and grind about every other day just to keep everything fresh and a stainless steel double walled Bodum French press that would literally survive a nuclear blast it's so well made.
I drink various loose leaf green teas, but for me the tea drinking is primarily in the winter or for stress reduction. Although I get more pleasure from a cup of coffee, I get my serenity from sipping into a hot mug of tea feeling the steam on my face.
Peet's French roast is the best store bought roast I've come across.
Coffee and tea are serious business, the only thing I take more seriously than wine and cheese pairings.
