It's an acquired taste. You won't just drink a glass and like it. But if you persevere you will be truly rewarded!!

SWMBO does not drink, and I believe once you open a bottle of wine it has to be drank... so it could end badly

While we're on the subject. When I left work this evening, I went to the pub with a friend and drank ale.

Then I came home and drank wine.

They're both fantastic.

Not really a fan of cider or lager tbh...

:yikes: OMG RC... you haven't tried a good Moscato or Riesling with spicy Vietnamese food? or spicy tuna sushi? Yums.

I consider those "sweet" wines albeit there's a difference between sweet and repugnantly sweet wines. I also love Port which is certainly on the sweet side. Try it with a piece of chocolate.

Just not good with sweet drinks. Not cracked them at all. ........but with chocolate.....chilli chocolate,,,hmm maybe.

Try a Cream Sherry.

Not at all, mothers at my part of the world at least don't look anything like that. They don't gorge on burgers and fries all day. Thankfully.

My mate used to have a greek saying (he was greek as well) which went along the lines of greek women have a valve on their finger that as soon as the wedding ring pressed it they inflated.

I've persevered with wine quite a few times and have to agree.
