The question is....WHY the booing for such a 'likeable innocent lad'? Are everyone in the stands demons? Or maybe something is amiss with Vettel himself as a personality? :scratchchin:

True. I mean, all the innocent bystanders that get caught in hooligan riots, surely almost must have done something to deserve that :scratchchin: .

Ah okay...so all the people attending the Silverstone GP were hooligans! Gotcha.

If you have to resort to putting words in my mouth, you might as well just not post, or have the balls to admit that your argument is invalid.

So....using your analogy Vettel is the 'innocent bystander' and the Silverstone attendees were....who? Please explain how I was 'putting words into your mouth'?

Maybe you might need to grow an actual brain to understand what you're writing before trying to argue with someone else.

You're not understanding the use of the term honorary.

She's saying the Brits are adopting Webber, an Australian as a Brit.

:yes::thumbup:

Your last point is ridiculous in the extreme and nothing to do with the discussion. We aren't discussing Brits morals.

You're talking about honorary, yet that has nothing to do with morals?

honor (usually uncountable; plural honors)
(uncountable) The state of being morally upright, honest, noble, virtuous, and magnanimous; the perception of such a state.

You are adding the word all.
The cheerers were no better than hooligans: exhibiting a morally unsporting behavior, and finding excuses to justify it.

Did after posting.
Your comment makes no sense then though. Adopted Brit or not, it is no excuse.

No excuse for what? If you read the comment why all the dictionary explanations of what honor means?

Excuse for the cheerers' behaviour. Not sure what else was your point in mentioning it, if not to excuse their behavior.
Or does it make the British crowd better than the Canadian crowd, because they were booeing while there was not an adopted Canadian involved?

I'll ask again as you avoided it first time

Would the Dutch not cheer if the Germans scored a own goal during a match with the Netherlands ?
Would that make all Dutch people moral less hooligans ?

Would the Aussies cheer if English batsmen ran each other out during the Ashes (dream on Aussies it ain't gonna happen)

Are all Spanish people racist because a few blacked up and shouted racist comments at Hamilton ?

Is it any different to you coming on here and showing your glee that Webber or Hamilton had a bad race ?

I think your a bit too sensitive for competitive sports

This.

Except the racist thing, that is unacceptable.

Each and everyone self-inflicted, unlike Vettel's gearbox.
Cheering car failure is like admitting that your own driver is not good enough to beat the guy on level terms...

And your disregard for the booeing that's happened aplenty, does not magically make it not have happened.
Though perhaps the saddest thing is that people are trying to justify it. Not own up to it: "momentary lack of self-control" or whatnot. No, people know it's bad form yet are so pitiful that they feel the need to justify it with double standards.

Almost as sad as your incessant use of the word all.

I thought RedBull raced as a team ? so isn't it self inflicted if you don't build the gearbox right ?

So I'm guessing by your lack of a real answer means you didn't have a little smile on your face when Hamiltons tire exploded ?

I'm guessing by your lack of understanding responses you find it unimaginable that not everyone thinks the same as you do and not everyone shares your morals?

If they were cheering for Red Bull's misfortune as a team, they wouldn't cheer for Webber.
You can't be so stupid you believe that yourself...

Also at the stands at a BTCC race at Thruxton, Neal passed Plato on the final corner of the race, some people cheered and some people boo'd. Nothing to do with nationality there as their both British. This is a sport, you support who you support; in case you didn't notice people were cheering ALL the members of the podium, not booing Rosberg because he beat Alonso (See Canada), and I bet if Vettel was on that podium they would have cheered him too.
