It's quite off tune, so it matches me.... Still it's better than what was US no 1 on my birth date:

That is bad...

There's always one ain't there?! I'm really struggling to see anything nationalistic here. There ain't no flag waving in this thread.

Just post what was no. 1 in your country of birth, or wherever you reside now or just don't take part. It's really quite simple.

Instead of day, I found one the year I was born. Yeah, the 80s and 90s were way better. :D

We were discussing this at work on Friday so when it came to me I thought 1983 so something like Frankie Goes to Hollywood or Depeche Mode or something cool. Words cannot express my disappointment at Culture Club! :irked:

I don't remember... :P

Come now DD, you're not that old. :headpat:

Are you?! :yikes:

The US no. 1 when I was born was Kenny Rodgers and Dolly Parton's version of Islands in the Stream so both the UK and US no. 1's were terrible for me as well. If I'd have been born 4 days earlier it would have been Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler.

what's with this nationalistic clap trap... different countries have different number 1's.

just saying when I googled the US one came out first and imo it's terrible... No nationalism there because the song is Jamaican.
