To be fair to Maldonado, Max Chilton did indeed close him up.

Maldo was completely innocent in that one.

What about Massa's crash? Almost a carbon copy of his FP3 crash.

Never thought I'd hear those words.

Maybe he slept with Chilton's girl/boy friend.

Perez was a little bit late, at his move on Raikkonen, compared to his previous overtakes. I don't blame him for trying and the stewards didn't either. Once he was along Kimi he couldn't do, anything to avoid it. He was right stating that only Kimi could have avoid the accident. Should Kimi back off a bit, I don't think so, but if he did they would have both finished the race. Perez didn't do anything wrong, he was brave and aggressive, and thats what we want from him. At this joke of a track, the only way to overtake is to steal the racing line from the one in front by outbraking him. or capitalize an opportunity(if ever given), like Sutil did.
I am not saying that Kimi did something wrong, but either did Perez. Thats why it was a just a racing incident. As for Kimi's statements being cool is a different story, than being a bully. More so if every stupid thing you say is hailed by the press. It was funny at the start but now it is just annoyning :punch:

 ^ all that.
Apart from Rosberg, Perez and Suthil were the stars of the show. Perez may have been optimistic on the last one but once committed only Kimi could have prevented it. Racing incident. Great overtakes from him before that. Great overtakes from Suthil.

I find a lot of the defence of Perez yesterday quite odd to be honest. Yes he made some of the moves stick, and yes it did liven the race up a bit - and that I am all for. But strictly speaking, the move itself was, in all circumstances and attempts, a banzai move up the inside, relying on the other car to not turn into the apex that they would have had every right to do. It's an unwritten but often discussed rule amongst ALL professional racing drivers that those types of moves are a no-no, which is why I can completely understand, sympathise and agree with Kimi for his post-race comments. The only way that Alonso could avoid contact was to jump off the track, and had contact occurred it would unquestionably have been Perez' fault - Alonso didn't have to move off track, or off of the racing line, it would have been an avoidable accident by virtue of Perez not slinging one up the inside, because it is not reasonable to HAVE to avoid contact by cutting a chicane.

Ask yourself the question - what if the turn was not just a kerb, but a wall. Perez actions would have forced Alonso to either crash head on with it, or turn in and make contact with the McLaren. Just because it isn't a wall does NOT make the move acceptable.

Perez race ending in the manner it did was always on the cards - he pushed his luck one too many times and with the wrong driver.

Sutil is doing a sterling job this season! What a comeback! One route to driver of the year so far.

 I wouldn't say scoring twice in 6 races is a brilliant season. I think PDiR has out driven him so far this year....

Just saw the collision of Perez and Kimi, what was Perez thinking,of course Kimi wasn't doing anything wrong he can't just give him place to pass, and all of a sudden Perez tried to get in a place that isn't wide enough

Exactly! it was a desperate lunge that was only going to end badly.

I bet Button had a wry smile when he passed Perez and his ailing car at the pit entrance.

Yeah I think so,can't believe I actually thought Jenson liked Perez at the beginning of the season, otherwise has been proved since Bahrain :D

Perez clearly isn't a team player. Buttons frustration is understandable.

Button found out his teammate isn't the lame duck pushover which Button expected him to be.

Perez's moves were totally reliant on the other driver being compliant though, and well, Alonso was compliant he made sure to avoid contact and got a penalty, Kimi did the same once, and since Perez also cut the chicane there was no penalty, Perez tried it again, Kimi wasn't going to play along.

And I think the truth is, no other driver will from now on.
