I see what bud and MOA were on about. It's one thing to get worked up over people calling Hamilton a daddy's boy or stupid or whatever the argument was. But yet we're all cool about psycho-analyzing everything Button does and assigning an ulterior motive to it. This just feels like hypocrisy to the most extreme level. This is the reason behind the low morale of the forum.
I have stayed clear of this thread and will continue to do so from now on. I do not agree with personal attacks on a driver, and can understand MOA's motives for leaving because of the double standard imposed between Hamilton and Button.
But I checked out that video and just thought Button is one cool guy. He drives for McLaren for a reason - because he's a bloody good driver. And he is so graceful to be totally upfront and honest about how he feels about the battle with Perez. And he was willing to front the media even when he didn't HAVE to.
Meanwhile on the Vettel thread there was pages and pages of comments on how Vettel was an arrogant jerk for not being transparent from the get go about his motives for overtaking Vettel. Button is the most professional driver on the grid. Totally supports his team, handles himself well in interviews. Would be the guy I'd have a beer with any day (moreso than Vettel).
