Problem for Webber is, even when he wants to try something actively, there are usually only two instances when he's close enough to Vettel, and one of those is the start, and we all know how that usually goes :hehe:
Maybe he should have himself lapped

Well...personally, I don't like what Vettel did but I never felt sorry for Mark and I was wondering why. I thought it was probably to do with his stupid crashes with Lewis whenever they were racing (Singapore especially) but then I found this, and now I think I understand why. :hehe:

Vettel isn't the only d**khead in Redbull, that's for sure. :)

Harsh but for the majority of races it's probably true.

They do tend to leave him behind.

Yeah, that's been the biggest annoyance of this whole saga.
You can think of disobeying teamorders what you want, and you can think of screwing your team-mate what you want, but people (Mark himself including) acting like Mark is the poor little innocent victim in this are hypocrites. Either applaud both, or condemn both.

You can't compare that to the last race. Yes Mark failed to maintain a 3sec gap in that clip. But once Mark got his nose alongside and showed he was faster he backed off for the corner, and then backed off heavily on the straight.

The two don't even compare.

Maybe Mark thought Maintain the gap meant pass him and get 3 seconds ahead of him? :hehe:

That clip just shows Mark putting the Red Bull's balls by Vettel's face and then backing off, showing he was faster than Vettel that day. As he often is when the car isn't perfect.

I don't like defending Vettel much, and I'm not here....but Webber did put both cars at risk. At least, he did his best to distract Vettel when Redbull did not want any risk of mistakes and for the cars to come home in one piece.

In a sport like this, what he did in that clip was reason enough to incense Redbull. But heck, I don't know the chemistry in that team, Webber probably hates them anyway since he knows who their Goldenboy is....and is just collecting a fat paycheck every year to last him through retirement.

Well, Sebastian was in 2nd position in Malaysia. Maybe he thought multi 21 meant "driver now in 2nd position must take 1st" :hehe:

That clip just shows Mark putting the Red Bull's balls by Vettel's face and then backing off, showing he was faster than Vettel that day.

Mark was very clear about his actions: “I ignored the team and I was battling to the end.”
In 2012, he again was very clear that he has no intent on obeying teamorders.

Both from Webber's standpoint (being screwed over by your team-mate), as from Red Bull's (having a driver disobey teamorders), Vettel's actions were not unique. Even the now debunked myth that it was not a fair fight because Webber's car was turned down was a bust anyway, as Mark disobeyed teamorders while Vettel's car was actually at a disadvantage, as its KERS was bust.

As he often is when the car isn't perfect.

Leaving aside the 'often' discussion, Webber was faster at the end of that day because 1) Vettel had a screwed-up pitstop and 2) Vettel didn't have KERS.
You can have your digs at Vettel's skills, but don't try to misrepresent the facts of that day.

Will WB be supporting an Aussie next year at LeMans?

If true, it also frees Webber to drive how he wants and support who he wants for the rest of the year :)

Porsche has refused to deny reports that it is lining up Mark Webber to lead its charge with a new Le Mans prototype next year.

Amid the Multi-21 saga and claims the Australian’s place is now untenable alongside Sebastian Vettel at Red Bull, German newspaper Bild reported that the 36-year-old and Porsche have “already been in contact” regarding a 2014 deal.

Asked about the Webber rumours, a spokesman for the carmaker told SID news agency: “Porsche already has a squad of internationally successful works drivers.”

“This is a very good basis for the assignment of the corresponding (Le Mans) cockpits. Whether and to what extent additional drivers are added will be decided at a later date,” spokesman Oliver Hilger added. (GMM)

Would be a very shrewd signing for Porsche actually. I really can't wait for Le Mans next year! :cloud9:
