- 31 Mar 13, 00:09#353044Yeah I totally get open-wheelers being more restricted in close contact racing...but what was so wrong about the 2000-2005 era? Yeah, we had Ferrari dominating for 4-5 years but I see that as just the most efficient team with all the right people in the right place making the sport predictable, but the racing was still there. And you truly get to see who has the fastest car, fastest drivers after 2-3 races into the season. Right now, we have to wait at least 5 races just to get an idea about which teams have genuine title contending race cars.
I'm all for improving the show, but not to the detriment of racing and for drivers to push the limits of what they have at their disposal. The cars and engines are like A+ and meant to be pushed to the limit, but they don't even go close to it due to the B-grade rubber they are running on. But okay, we get more winners in a season and more guess work going on all the time...I guess unpredictability wins more aces over edge of the seat racing.
Breaking News:Lewis Hamilton has officially overtaken The Fonz in race wins. With 88 races less. Lol(Without a specially built blown diffuser, illegal front wing, preferential treatment)
