Williams have bigger problems than engine supplier, The Renault lump also powers the two race winners this season, Lotus and Red Bull, time to reevaluate at Grove!

Williams should go for Mercedes! Toto will make sure they get a discount, he's a genuine fan of Frank Williams! :whip:

Brawn and Newey both predicting difficulties with the very complex new engines. brawn says......we'll go back 20 yrs to the time when we had lots of engine failures, he's saying it could be about four a race. Not only the engines(will fail) but also the new components.

Its really going to seperate the field. As so much power is provided by the ERS, I can see this is where many will have problems. Renault had better be on top of the ERS because if it fails regulary like it did for Webber etc, thats the race gone as 160 break is too much to lose

Given the choice, on previous form you gotta say Merc are looking in control

FI regularly have issues with their Merc Kers units, but that just may be how they operate them.

Never fear Adrian Newey is going to begin to design engines with pencil and paper.

He's designing them ON pencil and paper, or making them out of pencil and paper? Because i'd like to see the latter.

Now you just look silly since there is nothing wrong with what I wrote. But since you asked for clarification, how could he possibly design an engine on a pencil, I mean the paper I can understand. So their.

Well designing it on a pencil, is the same as designing it on a block of wood with a massive lead (graphite), but I can't see him going to design engines for the American market. OOOOOHHHHHH BURN!

I'm trying to ignore that their...

Moving away from big capacities is good for the sport. Look how well staying with big displacement worked for Detroit

It wasn't big displacement that killed Detroit. It was lousy craftsmanship a lack of design innovation, the expectation that all you had to do to a car was give it a new nose and new tail every two years and people would buy it. All coupled with abysmal management and leadership.

Even today we still only pay $3.75 a gallon for premium gas.
