You also have to consider the placement of your literage... the very back is the wrong place especially in older Porsches... the newer ones are better, you don't feel like you are going to die every time you take a corner at more than 40mph! For the record I have 3.5 liters of V6 power, shame that it lives inside a plastic SUV!

This was my best run last Sunday. It was the season kickoff. Although I was very excited at the end because I had set myself a goal of reaching 49 seconds. I actually did this on in 48.076 so. Now for the humbling part... the orange 911 you see at the end as I'm pulling back in the the queue is a nearly 40 year old car, that is driven by an SCCA national champion. It's got 1 whole liter less of engine than mine and his time was in the 43's.

Humbling indeed.

Yeah, but i bet his car is more sorted than yours in the first place. Are there rules/classes for tyres, suspension and stuff? I bet some nice soft compound tyres would immediately gain you several seconds. Engine size shouldn't matter quite so much on a tiny, twisty course like that.
