Not good to be unappreciated mate. Although if someone says nothing about the work you're doing, it can often be a good thing also, as there are no problems.
I've volunteered to stand in for a friend at a perfume stall at the Fortnum and Mason department store in London. A week and a half, I thought it'd be a nice break from the office. But, f!ck me, I've got to learn all these perfumes and ALL their ingredients! Really regretting it now, and it's driving me down.

Good for your soul (and nose) - I loooove perfumes and always have many at hand for any and all occasions.

But if you were to go to a department store to check them out, would you expect to be told every bloody ingredient in the thing? Surely sniffing it is enough!

Now, now, don't be philistine about perfumes!
It's an art form. People with the right nose get paid a fortune to select the right ingredients to make a wonderful perfume.

There you go, you've got them all on a platter. Just imagine you're cramming for an acting role: put your most flamboyant moves on and rattle them ingredients down - your clientele will be mesmerized
