I actually prefer miles (as the only non-metric unit): you make about 60 miles an hour average, an hour has 60 minutes, so very easy to figure out how long it takes to get somewhere. Try this with 100km/h and 60 minutes - a bit harder
I just use percentage of hours and then work out the minutes that way
