As long as Petronas is a title sponsor, and Mercedes has the silver in the silver arrows, the livery will never look good. It just doesn't work together. This is an improvement, I'd rather see this than the Red Bull livery they put together this year. I mean to willingly put that purple on the car when neither royal purple nor prilosec are sponsors is muy toro loco.

Ok, ok - it was me! I had my little Saturday afternoon chat with Didi and asked him whether it would be possible to put some purple on the new car and he said: "Anything for you, my dear - we have our main sponsor Infiniti and they love purple!" Oh Didi - you're SUCH a gentleman and charmer

Yeah, would have been my preference, too - but I had to approach this delicate matter in a reasonable way. They still need their blue, red and yellow colors to earn some money as well...

Out of all of the launched cars, I would say the Red Bull is the worst looking - it's got too many colours in the livery!
Keep the livery simple, two colours (maybe three). The original black and gold Lotus or the 'cigarette box Mclaren' springs to mind.
Best looking cars this year are the Mclaren and the Mercedes. Mixing silver with dashes of red/turquoise looks really good

I still think the Brawn GP was the best looking car ever though..

Agreed on all counts. I think the worst part of the red bull and Merc is the airbrushing of the purple/green. Give the car some racing stripes like a proper race car, not crappy airbrushing like Pimp My Ride.


And the car itself is fugly. Probably the worst one I've seen so far, including Force India.

No, it's what a Torro Rosso should look like. The Red Bull is fine as it is.

For me the Merc is the ugliest car released so far. The Torro Rosso ain't too far behind it!

Toro Rosso looks pretty nice. Best looking car yet by a fair margin. Can't see it being particularly quick, but there's a couple of neat little parts on the car.

The nose on that Mercedes is horrendous (par for the course for how their F1 cars look though really, for me). Reminds me of their 2011 car quite a lot.
