Hammer's done nothing wrong. He didnt ask for Those emails to be sent to him.

Doing the right thing isn't always the right thing to do.

But you feel better for doing the right thing and maintain your integrity.

Not really if you end up spending your time looking over your shoulder bricking it.

It's the right one as long as you don't get busted.

Thanks for your contribution andrew, but it bears no weight for me, thanks.

What's the big deal about getting busted? Did you grass up the Mafia or something? You don't like these people anyway, and anyone decent would agree with what you did.

These are the people I'd be working with on various group projects and presentations until August. It is kind of a big deal to be seen as the guy who threw his peers into the fire. In this instance, when you're in the fire you don't tend to look at the big picture anymore.

Hammer(man) :D , I wouldn't worry yourself over it. They have gotten off very lightly. If they were caught doing that in the University I work in they would have been hauled in front of a disciplinary panel and either:

1. Been suspended for either a semester or a full academic year; or;
2. Been thrown out completely.

You did the right thing, as if it had been found out after the assessment then everyone would likely have been guilty by association as they could have gained an unfair advantage in the test / exam regardless of intention.

I can't fathom being so arrogant as to be in their shoes right now and actually trying to blame somebody other than themselves either! Obce caught they should man up and accept responsibility for their own actions, accepting that not everybody wants to pass by cheating. If I had them in my office I'd be going through them like a ton of bricks!

Thanks for the support zurich!

Arrogance is the name of the game in my class. Don't know why, but a bunch of them have some sort of 'we are the best' complex, even if their end results like presentations and grades are nothing to shout about. At least, it doesn't come close to justifying their 'up in the air' attitude! And yeah, at the moment, the sender is all like "im going to find out who sent that email no matter what!". She told us she had asked the Prof who sent the email and he simply declined to comment.

To be fair, I would of just taken it on the chin by now. I cheated, I got caught, time to move on.

Well the prof ain't telling, you ain't telling. So she isn't ever going to find out. I'd forget about it now and just move on.

lets hope they don't google for the answer and it turns this thread up.

Myabe a mod can go through this thread swapping the following words:

Email for text message
Test for pub quiz
Proffessor for pub landlord
Msc for driving test

No one will know that way.
