It's a bit like football - the team is rubbish so sack the gaffer, not the players. So it'll be different gaffer, same problems.

Ok, they've sacked the coach. I wouldn't say they need to sack the driver in this instance but something is far wrong with Mercedes who have underperformed for the past 3 seasons.
This team has got to be the enigma of the F1 paddock.
Toyota came in as a start up team and in the 3 years they achieved a lot more than Caterham/Marrusia/HRT
Sad to hear this news. I like Haug. And the suggestion someone made that he's leaving because he doesn't like Lewis is I would suggest wide of the mark,they got on well when they worked together at McLaren. Hmmm. There's a lot of reorganisation going on at that team, and it is somewhat top heavy with directors, but I hope he wasn't forced out.
He's left Mercedes all together not just his F1 role, I don't think Lewis was any reason.
