Not sure what everyone was on in q2. In q3 he only did one run and still nearly beat Button.

Strictly hypothetical bud... here's a question because I've yet to hear any McLaren fan actually say it. Do you think McLaren made a mistake letting Lewis walk?

If Lewis was 8 tenths ahead of Button today... what if he would have been able to do the same thing with the Mercedes. What if Lewis is able to get that same time gap when he's their driver next year?

I think belittling Mercedes will come back and bite a lot of people in the @ss long run, maybe even nip them in the @ss short run as well. It remains to be seen, but apparently all McLaren fans have already made up their mind.

Wait and see how Perez goes before making any true predictions. And belittling Mercedes? I think the constant McLaren belittling will bite Lewis fans in all honesty.

I think belittling Mercedes will come back and bit a lot of people in the @ss long rung, maybe even nip them in the @ss short run as well. It remains to be seen, but apparently all McLaren fans have already made up their mind.

I said it before, but some might not have read it. Rosberg in a car supposedly miles apart from McLaren has 1 win to Jensons 2, and is closer to Jenson (WC table) than Jenson should rightfully be to Lewis based on performance this year.
If Lewis is 0.5 - 0.8 quciker than Button without the team swapping wings etc one would have to be a fool to completely right off the Mercedes combo of Nico and Lewis (assuming the car stays the same or even improves)

McLaren don't want to win a championship these days by the look of it. That's why they would rather have Button as number one and not Lewis i.e their fastest driver.

I think there is something wrong with Whitmatrsh and co? You back your fastest driver and make them the priority if you want to win championships.

We naturally care about seeing Lewis and Merc throw pies into McLaren's faces for actually treating a 2nd rate driver who fails to find grip every odd weekend...as Lewis' senior.

Agree Hammer. Button needs to get a grip and realise that he isn't that good.

Button thinks because he won an easy championship, somehow now he's a team leader and top driver on par with Alonso, Lewis and Kimi.

He's deluded and next year will find him out for what he is imo. Lewis is worth 10 Buttons, as McLaren are about to find out.
