Vettel is a very smart guy who clearly knows how to annalyse a sitation and go in the right direction.
So my question is the obvious question. Will he go to Ferrari without Adrian Newey?........Not a chance in hell.
Greatest partnership in F1 since Brawn/Byrne and Schumacher whether we like it or not.

How much influence does Lauda really have though? He plays up his part in signing Lewis a little too much I think and for a guy like Adrian Newey money and technical direction/freedom will dictate which direction he goes in. Would Newey work well under Ross Brawn? And what would their relative positions at the team be? One of the reasons he's flourished at Red Bull is because of the technical freedom they have have given him but I have a feeling that the infrastructure at Mercedes might limit his creativity.

Apparently Alonso has the power to veto decisions regarding any potential drivers that are looking to join Ferrari and he has already done so with Lewis for obvious reasons. Why hasn't he vetoed Vettel? I think that must be because there's a possibility that Adrian Newey will leave Red Bull for Ferrari too. It's a very smart move by the crafty Spaniard cos not only would he be taking on Vettel but he would also be able to figure out the secrets behind the Vettel/Newey success whilst using Newey for himself to try and dominate the sport.
