unless he can take adrian newey with him.

but does he not see how ferrari consistently have at best the 3rd fastest (at times during the season the 4th or 5th) each season.

why does he want to leave the winning machine that is team red bull? to have his reputation ruined by being out driven by alonso in a car not capable of winning the wdc.

and he does nt cope well with not having the best car on the grid. he did do a fast enough lap in quali in korea and he immediately tries to come up with a reason to blame rocky.

it would be great the fans. alonso vs vettel would be epic in the same way alonso vs hamilton at mclaren was. because none of these 3, i guess that's why they are winners, deal well with being outpaced by their team mate.

is montezemelo just doing pr when he says he would not want 2 roosters in the same henhouse. surely massa getting just one year contract is evidence that vettel is coming in 2014.

red bull. ? ?
mclaren. perez button
mercedes. hamilton rosberg
ferrari. alonso vettel
lotus. raikkonen grosjean

2014 already looking epic. dont have a clue who will drive for red bull in 2014 though

Because in 2014 Ferrari will be better equipped for the changes because they make their own engines. Red Bull will have to have an engine supplier.

I read an article by Hughes a while back saying it would be an advantage. sorry Im not technical enough to remember or understand why  Hughes said Vettel had a Ferrari option for 2014 quite a while back and sighted the in house engines as a reason

It's not going to be a massive advantage.

Guys, Red Bull has enough money to buy any engine they like. Always remember that.

It's not about getting the engine, it's having the data available in advance to be able to design the car around it. Again, though, it's not going to be a huge problem.

sure the engine is going to be important but i dont see why renault's engine will be any worse than ferrari.

aerodynamics will still be the dominant deciding factor now that the tyres are understood quite well. and newey's aerodynamics allow the red bull to have a big advantage over ferrari even with an engine that is 10 bhp down.

and renault have been working for a long time on the 2014 engine, and renault could be the best, most sophisticated engine in 2014. combined with newey's aerodynamics given that newey said he will never leave red bull.

i think the wdc will be driving a red bull for the next 5 years. vettel may look back on his red bull to ferrari move as another villeneuve to bar move.

history shows you NEVER leave the dominant team until they actually start to decline.

sorry "whats burning". am new to the forums. will spend more time looking for relevant instead of creating new thread

It's ok, he hasn't merged your thread anyway, he was just joking, it was quite a weak joke, so no need to feel bad for not getting it either. You can contact an admin, about his conduct if you wish. :whip:

my post was somewhat tongue in cheeck, and I know everyone is new at some point... thanks for the post but yeah, you'll find that this community is EXTREMELY active, close, and just like family there's equal parts love and bickering. Chances are that you'll find a very meaty thread on just about anything F1 and if there isn't one already, then please feel free to create a new one.

Welcome, and perhaps give yourself a proper introduction in the introductions area if you plan to stick around.
