Notice how emphatic Luca D. was about not having two roosters in the hen house. I think everyone missed the underlying message here...Alonso is calling it a career at the end of 2014. Vettel comes in along with whoever the #2 flavor of the month is at that time. Go see the bookies now!

I'm just saying...

oooo, clever thought! Though why would Alonso pack in? no kids or special woman, not enough titles....

I don't think Alonso is as hung up on the number of titles as, say, Vettel. I think he wants to leave his mark and go on to other things in life. After winning three titles, what else is there to prove? Lord knows he's stashed away enough money to live very well for three lifetimes. I suspect having a number of close calls like the Grosjean/Spa incident helps along with that thinking. It just wouldn't surprise me.

I'm just saying...

But you live to your means, if I earn't 20 million a year then I am sure you could start to spend near that. Private jets, super cruisers, etc.

When I was 18, if you said right your going to earn what I am earning now I would of fallen of my chair, however that still does not stop me being skint now!

Pretty sure Alonso is contracted til 2016 if I'm not mistaken. That being said I just can't see Vettel leaving RB while they keep giving him titles. Nor do I see Alonso being all too thrilled with a driver of Vettel's caliber being in the garage right next door.

No, it would suck, just like it did with Alonso and Hamilton.

Why because Vettel might get beaten by his team-mate for a change...?

I don't remember Hamilton being far behind Alonso in that year. And we all know what sort of stuff Alonso did... And, Vettel can't be beaten by his teammate. ;)

But Alonso has it written into his contract that his team-mate isnt allowed to beat him - so they will have to tie on points if Vettel joins. :hehe:

Ok ok let's make an assumption for minute here: WHAT IF... Ferrari is able to pull it off?

I dont know what these drivers have on their contracts, but i doubt anyone has a clause that says the teammate can't beat them. So unless i get to see one of these contracts, there's no need to dwell over what might be init or not ;)

They'd kill each other, there'd be cucumbers , fingers and toys all over the garage, no room for cars.
