I don't think Alonso is as hung up on the number of titles as, say, Vettel. I think he wants to leave his mark and go on to other things in life. After winning three titles, what else is there to prove? Lord knows he's stashed away enough money to live very well for three lifetimes. I suspect having a number of close calls like the Grosjean/Spa incident helps along with that thinking. It just wouldn't surprise me.

Notice how emphatic Luca D. was about not having two roosters in the hen house. I think everyone missed the underlying message here...Alonso is calling it a career at the end of 2014. Vettel comes in along with whoever the #2 flavor of the month is at that time. Go see the bookies now!
