Didn't know Grosjean even had a ban till today, been too busy. I have to say the news has caught me by surprise, IMO i didn't think the penalty was there but if the FIA are going to give race bans for incidents like this, all i hope for is that the FIA is going to be consistent from here on, which will probably won't happen

With regards to the severity of the penalty I'm wondering if perhaps Grosjean did something that the drivers have been told not to do or at least be very careful about off the start line in the drivers briefings or something.

For a race incident, Hakkinen at Hockenheim in 1994 for slicing Blundell and a couple of others into the wall at Turn 1, and to be fair, I think Hakkinen should thank the FIA for it as he never pulled such a stupid stunt again.

Grosjean reminds me of Hakkinen a lot, is a very good driver when he doesnt get caught up in similar incidents.
