A racing car that does not win, is just art
The person I feel sorry for in all this is his Press Officer in Clarence house.

a couple of my mates have, they seem to be a bit hit and miss on the build quality
To explain a bit more, 5 of my mates have or had one. 3 out of the 5 never had a single problem apart from the usual costs (servicing, brakes etc) the other 2 had no end of problems with theres, to be fair the Mini warantee covered most of it without cost, there is still the annoyance of loosing your car for the day etc.
indeed, but at a rate of 2 out of 5 it is quite high. However in reality it is not a big enough sample group.
there must be a mini forum
A mate clocked up 110k miles in his Cooper very quickly with no major problems.
Having driven his a bunch of times, personally, i think they are good to drive but the interior is a little cramped in the standard Mini's, especially considering that you can get Focuses and Golfs and so on for the same money (perhaps with better specs too).
