That's dreadful. Racism this time??
#315131
Racism, sexism, homophobia, etcetc, the motives change but the outcome doesn't. The reason is simply the case of too much power being made legal which everyone (including stupid/uneducated people) can access.

More ignorance, they apparently (according to fox news so take this with a pinch of salt) found anti muslim stuff on his laptop etc. Then he went to a Sikh temple... Well to be fair I never thought these gun toting maniacs would have a massive IQ.

And these ignorant uneducated people have unlimited access to guns?

Land of the free innit? Too many cretins believe that it is their God given right to own a gun even thought they don't need one. Clearly this superceeds they God given right to life in the eyes of some whack jobs.

When will they realise that the right to bear arms meant the right to own a pair of these?

It's part and parcel of living in America, gun laws will never change, this sort of incident will happen time and time again...

My family and I were lucky; about two weeks after we moved home, our last next door neighbours boyfriend went postal and shot up the apartment, and half a dozen bullets went through the wall of our old apartment, this happened at a time we would have been at home... I'm so happy we moved away to a better location!

Would someone lose the rights/licence to hold a gun after doing something like that?

Yeah, only while they're in jail. The problem is that although the sale of firearms is very regulated in some states... other states have ZERO gun control so you can basically buy a gun without any type of background checks for crime or mental stability. Meanwhile in the same country, those same states without gun control laws will make a woman that chooses to get an abortion, have a three day wait period, force her to seek counseling and force her to have an ultrasound so she can see images of the forming fetus. You know, just in case the woman wasn't sure of what she was doing.

Sometimes it's not hate or terrorism that leads to gun crimes but just stupidity or drug induced moronacy.... I posted the following in another thread a few days ago!

SALT LAKE CITY – A Utah man has been charged after police say he tried to shoot a mouse in his pantry and ended up wounding his roommate.

Christian Sunil Paul, of Taylorsville, was charged Monday in Salt Lake City's 3rd District Court with one felony count of discharging a firearm with injury and one misdemeanor count of possessing drug paraphernalia.

Calls to a number listed for Paul were not immediately returned Tuesday.

The 27-year-old told police he was aiming at the rodent during the Dec. 20 shooting, but the bullet went through the pantry and into the bathroom, where it hit Paul's roommate in the shoulder.

The roommate was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Court documents show authorities also found small, empty balloons and burnt tin foil in a bathroom trash can.

So someone gets jailed for being a nutter with a gun and when he/she gets out they hand the gun back to them?

I can understand the difficulties in bringing in gun control laws but surely an instance like that shouldn't have any question.

When that person gets out of jail he can go to any gun show out west and buy a semiautomatic assault rifle no questions asked. But he couldn't buy that semi automatic assault rifle in NY or NJ or a handful of other hard gun control states.

It's a good thing that Americans don't travel across state lines much.
