Right, this is it!!!! The official announcement!!! I HATE MY JOB!!!
To support what I want to do in life, my "career", I am currently earning extra pennies working in a frigging call centre. Selling "boutique" wine to the stuck-up, arrogant, grumpy English bourgeoisie. Why do I do this??? Because it's flexible and for NO other reason.
Three months I have been doing this now. And it feels like an eternity! You're under pressure to make one sale an hour, otherwise you're bullied and patronised by the supervising team. I generally, somehow, make my targets, but I've been on SERIOUSLY difficult data this week, and it's a bloody pain in the arse.
People have been getting fired left-right-and-centre, especially after one of the other departments folded, so the pressure is intense. I can't stand it anymore!
I promised myself years ago I would never work in a call center or a pub. However I suppose it what your skill set is, I have a very low tolerance to drunk people when I am sober.
I'd never work in a call centre. I'm not patient enough.
You can come work with me Lew. All I ask is that you're reliable and not retarded.
Keep looking sure, job market's tough I agree with that, but this should help your C.V I think.
Contacted employment agencies who are looking for casual workers?

Well I fit your requirements, certainly, but it's a bit of a commute, don't you think?
