I really don't know why I bother with this place anymore it's rather annoying hearing the same old s*** over and over. I really like Lewis, I hope he stays but a major part of me wishes he'd f*** off so his loonies can f*** off with him.

...and let the WCCs just pour in like they have since 1998.

If Bud is 'disturbingly good looking' which I doubt, he could send his CV and photo to Whitmarsh and end up with a top role in the team on a fasttrack to team Boss

Better looking than you think <EDITED WB>. Let's see your mug mines in the appropriate thread go search it sparky!

Sam Michael was completely overloaded at Williams fulfulling many different roles. Williams and Head have even alluded to this in the past themselves. I thought that was common knowledge... apparently not. Another part of Williams' problems was engine related, another budget related. So to blame Williams' problems entirely on Michael is frankly bizarre. Jon Tomlinson, who also left at the end of 2011, was probably more key to outright car performance as chief aero guy, so he is equally if not more culpable, having been in charge from 2006 - the true start of the downfall.

Michael was (at the end) Technical Director at Williams - at McLaren he is sporting Director, the role Dave Ryan used to hold before he was sacked. They are two very different jobs! Michael used to be Frentzen's race engineer in 1999 at Jordan - Frentzen's best year in F1. If you actually bother to look at the jobs he held and when he held them, his record is pretty solid.

....and i'm gonna say this once only - chill the hell out guys before it is too late.

edit - Seems WB decided it was already too late! :hehe:

I suggest you guys seriously relax or you'll be watching this weekend's GP without the exacerbation of nerves this forum seems to cause you.

He certainly has a good background and a lot of experience. I don't see why there would be any problem with him take over.

You'd prefer him at Red Bull?

I don't see why not. Like I said, he has a lot of relevant experience.

:rofl::rofl: Go ask Dietrich how he feels about that.

You got his number?

I don't understand why you find it funny that someone with an appropriate background could assume control if McLaren.

Just like in all of the other McLaren hate threads, I think McLaren is in a better position to judge Michael's qualifications than any of us are. I just don't see how many of you are so quick to blame him for Williams' past trouble and McLaren's current trouble, as if you're watching every race from the pit wall, and overseeing developments in Woking.

There's always gotta be a scapegoat, I guess. One week it's Whitmarsh, the next it's Michael... now it's both.
